Leaside Church & Community Centre -
Completed in Spring 2018
Refurbishment of the Hall
For many years the maintenance of the Hall particularly the heating costs had been a major drain on church finances.
The refurbishment will bring the whole building up to present day standards. It involved insulating all external walls, roofs, and floors, the installation of a new heating system and the upgrade of the electrical installation in order to reduce future maintenance costs to a minimum. The internal layout has been reconfigured ensuring greater security for Leaside Kindergarten and providing extra public meeting rooms for groups of less than 10 to over 100.
The New Reception Area
Provides a glazed covered link between the Church and Hall creating for the first time a single building to be known as Leaside Church &Community Centre.
This is the main entrance foyer which leading to both Church and Hall providing wheelchair access to all areas. New accessible toilets have been added.
The work to the Church begun in 2010, has been completed with a new tea and coffee point for refreshments, and reinforcement of the gallery providing an additional 50 seats, a total of 150 for concerts and other meetings.
